Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026This policy covers the Dead Hand field-pricing calculator mobile app (the "App"), published by Friendly App LLC, dba Dead Hand. It is separate from the Dead Hand Automatic Response System, which has its own policy.
The short version: the App collects nothing. There is no account, no login, no server that receives your information. Everything you enter lives only on your device.
What We Collect
Nothing. The App has no user accounts and no backend. All of the following is stored only in local storage on your own device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:
- Your labor rates, margin tiers, overhead, and business identity
- Saved estimates in your on-device history, including any customer name or email you type onto an estimate
We have no servers that hold your data, so there is nothing for us to see, sell, or lose.
No Tracking
The App contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no crash-reporting that identifies you. Your use of the App is not monitored.
Sending an Estimate
When you email a PDF estimate, the App generates the PDF on your device and hands it to your own email app through your phone's share sheet. The message is sent from your email account, through your mail provider. We never see it, route it, or store it. Any customer email or name you enter is used only to prepare that estimate and is kept only in your device's local history.
Purchases
If the App is paid or offers in-app purchases, those transactions are handled entirely by the app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store) under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Permissions
The App requires no location, contacts, microphone, or camera access to price a job and send an estimate. It works fully offline.
Children
The App is a business tool intended for tradespeople and is not directed to children under 13.
Deleting Your Data
Uninstalling the App permanently removes all of its locally stored data from your device. Because we hold nothing on our side, there is nothing further to request or delete.
Changes to This Policy
If the App's behavior ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and its "last updated" date.
